Jeremy Bussell PMP

Principal Executive Advisor & Founder

Jeremy brings over 30 years of combined military and law enforcement agency experience: 26 years in the U.S. Navy and five years with the Colorado State Patrol.

At CSP, he served first as IT Program Portfolio Manager and later as Director of Public Safety IT & Communications and a member of the agency’s command staff. His leadership responsibilities spanned more than 200 personnel, six communications centers, and 76 partner agencies. He also served as appointing authority for 69 administrative investigations.

His Navy career included operational leadership, international liaison work, and a final tour as Deputy Division Chief at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Across those roles, he advised senior leaders, coordinated multinational initiatives, and connected mission needs with organizational capabilities.

Opportunity identification, proposal development, customer relationships, funding support, and partnership building have been part of that work. BAG brings this business development perspective to organizations pursuing government, defense, public safety, and critical materials opportunities.

A certified Navy Master Trainer with more than 3,000 hours of classroom instruction and a graduate of the FBI-LEEDA Executive Leadership Institute, Jeremy connects leadership development with clear communication, shared purpose, and individual ownership.

A few practical questions

Before we
begin.

What kind of organizations does BAG support?

BAG’s services are intended for public agencies, public safety organizations, government and defense contractors, businesses, and nonprofits that need operational clarity, independent perspective, or experienced leadership support.

Can an engagement start small?

Yes. A focused assessment, facilitated planning session, or defined advisory engagement can provide a practical starting point. Scope, deliverables, schedule, and fees are agreed before work begins.

Does BAG provide interim or fractional leadership?

BAG offers executive advisory and interim or fractional leadership support. The role, authority, time commitment, and duration are defined around the organization’s need and Jeremy’s availability.

How are investigations and CJIS reviews scoped?

Administrative investigations focus on independent fact-finding within an agreed mandate. CJIS engagements focus on governance, policy, and operational readiness. The first conversation establishes the scope, required access, and appropriate deliverables.

Can BAG help with business development and partnerships?

Yes. BAG supports opportunity identification and qualification, stakeholder engagement, partnership and teaming strategy, and capture and proposal planning. The focus is on matching organizational capabilities to real customer or partner needs, then defining practical next steps.

How does defense and critical materials work fit?

BAG supports program governance, stakeholder coordination, partnerships, and execution planning for government, defense, and critical materials initiatives. This work draws on Jeremy’s operational leadership and government experience.
